We order from Little Goan often and it's always delicious. The service is quick, restaurant is very clean, and employees are very friendly. The only downside is that orders are small for what you pay, so it can get expensive pretty quick...but that's the cost for quality! Just wish we could afford to order more often.

This was my first time immensely enjoying Goan style Indian food. This is about the best Indian food I have eaten on our continent in the past 45 years. One day, India! Everything was so fresh and excellently prepared. Both the chicken and lamb were cooked just right, very enjoyable. The curries are right. A bit of spice to blend with all the other spices. The chicken biryani was perfect. I live on rice, now 26 years, so I know. Folks, if you want to expand your dietary palate and have yet to enjoy Little Goan and the nice family that proudly is looking forward to serving you, don't delay, don't stall! Order online or come on in and relax. OK, back to more of my AWESOME order from Little Goan. Like General MacArthur in the Philippines, "I, (too), shall return" to Little Goan! (Yes, Arnold and others have also said it.)

Because my girlfriend and I finished our hike late and couldn't make it to Lotus in San Rafael before it closed, we were in search of a new restaurant to satisfy our craving for Indian cuisine. We stumbled upon Little Goan on Yelp and after reading many positive reviews, we decided to give it a try. We decided to order the Rogan Josh, Saag Aloo, Tandoori Chicken, and Basmati Rice. The Rohan Josh had a nice tomato base flavor with subtle hints of yogurt, cardamom, and kashmiri chili. The lamb was amazingly tender, I just wish there was more. The tandoori chicken was juicy and had a nice char to it, unfortunately it was just a bit short on the salt, the spices were very nice though. My favorite dish was the Saag Aloo. Very creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy. The potatoes were perfectly tender as well. 8.6/10 The restaurant was decorated with real roses on each table for valentine's day with little balloons. That was a nice touch. Service was adequate, nothing amazing nor disappointing. If i'm ever in Novato and crave Indian food again, I will definitely come back.

This little neighborhood restaurant is fabulous! We met with friends for dinner and ordered tons of food. Literally everything we ordered was delicious! This is such a casual comfortable place to enjoy a meal. This is South Indian cuisine and offers many things you might not have had. Which is super fun. The Biriyani Rice dishes were amazing. Their Chicken Tikka was on point and all the appetizers were scrumptious. I can't wait to go back. This place is highly recommended. The service was great and the atmosphere is very nice.

Order chicken korma, Tandoori Chicken, some Naan and nothing disappointed. Had enough for breakfast the next day and will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Being from Fremont where the Indian food is amazing & aplenty, I wasn't sure how this would compare but the reviews for Little Goan were stellar so I was hopeful. The menu boasted plenty of food to suit all tastes and lots of vegan options too. We were greeted and seated immediately. It looks like this is a family run business. The folks who helped us were super nice. We ordered the Lasoor Dal, gluten free/vegan naan (since naan isn't vegan) and vegan veg biriyani. Everything came out together and quickly. The food was full of flavor, nicely portioned and reasonably priced. I have to highlight the gluten free naan tho! I didn't even know such a thing existed?? I had to order it since their naan has dairy. And it was super good!! Altho it didn't have those big pockets of air, it still had great texture and paired well with the curry. The decor was vibrant and colorful. Definitely made for lovely dining experience. I can't wait to be back!

What a gem of a place! Amazing food, amazing service! And Goan, no less, a style of Indian food that is very difficult to find. A small group of us were looking for Indian. My friends who live in the area had another restaurant in mind--one they go to regularly--but then I saw this place in Yelp. I've only had Goan food one other time in my life, and I had to have it again! We popped in half an hour before close, but despite the late arrival, they truly rolled out the red carpet for us. We got a nice little table that all of us could fit at comfortably, and I asked if they could recommend any Goan specialties, specifically food that you couldn't find in traditional Indian restaurants. They obliged with recommending the Vegetarian Caldine, the Channa Masala Xacuti, and an Okra Masala that they had just for the day. We also got a Mulligatawny soup, rice and naan. Honestly, this was some of the best Indian food I've ever had, a plus that it was Goan style. It was all clearly prepared with the freshest of ingredients and with unique Goan spices that gave the dishes unique tastes. No overuse of ghee here! Man, the food was so good. We had very little food left over (a shame too; the dishes would have made fabulous leftovers), and we all ate until we were completely full. I just couldn't stop, it was so good! My local friends told me afterwards that Little Goan was now there go-to Indian restaurant in Novato. No doubt they are now regulars! And, honestly, the next time I'm in Novato, I know absolutely where I'll want to have dinner one of the nights I'm in town! If you are looking for great Indian food, stop by Little Goan. If you've never had Goan style Indian food, don't delay! You just won't believe what you've been missing!
